The MCDP's Prayer & Spirituality

Through prayer we become aware of the presence and power of
God at work in ourlives.

God is revealed to us
in Creation.

in moments of silent reflection, in encounters with other persons,

in Word and Sacrament

We honor Mary as our patroness under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our Lady of Guadalupe is our spiritual strengthand our model evangelizer. Just as in Tepeyac in 1531 sheappeared to Juan Diego, a humble Indian , and workedmiracles for Blessed Juan Diego's uncle and brought aboutthe conversion of many people of present day Mexico, todayshe inspires, consoles, is has the devotions of many peoplethroughout the world.

In keeping with our spiritual heritage, we have special days of prayer and celebration of community feasts and special events.
